Discover the Perfect School Holiday Destination for Dining with Kids

Isabella from Italian Street Kitchen reveals the perfect school holiday destination for dining with kids.

The Australian School holidays are the perfect time for families to take a break and enjoy some quality time together. If you’re looking for a destination that caters to both kids and adults, look no further than Italian Street Kitchen. Ever since I opened my restaurant, I’ve been determined to provide an unmatched experience of Italian fine dining, while also making it one of the most kid friendly restaurants in Sydney.

Special Bambini Menu for Kids

While I pride myself on preparing the most authentic, traditional Italian cuisine, it doesn’t mean the kids won’t love it too. I’ve created a special menu for kids 12 years and under for just $12 each. Whether they want Spaghetti Napoli or Bolognese, ham pizza or Margherita, they’ll be getting the best quality version of the simple Italian meals’ kids adore, and at a great value price. All kids’ meals include a scoop of vanilla gelato too!

Kid Friendly Options on our All Day Menu:

Your little ones are more than welcome to order from the main menu as well, and we have some fantastic choices that many children will appreciate:

Pizza:

Pizza is perfect for sharing, which allows you to order a few different toppings to ensure everyone is happy, and the whole family can try a variety of options. The classic Margherita is an excellent selection for even the fussiest of kids, with a tomato base, fior di latte cheese, and basil. However, you can also add additional toppings like ham, salami, beef meatballs, and chicken, if you’d like to make it a more diverse pizza, but only include ingredients that your children enjoy. Our home-made pizza dough is risen for 48 hours, then it’s baked light and crispy in a wood-fired oven.

Pasta:

A lot of kids love this traditional Italian staple, and I have a number of tasty pastas on the main menu. There are two in particular that are very popular with kids. The Gnocchi Alla Bolognese features scrumptious potato dumplings in slow-cooked beef Bolognese, topped with Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, and pangrattato. And my Ravioli, which includes roasted lamb, burnt butter, red wine jus, crispy sage and Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese.

Antipasti:

My Antipasti menu is also very kid friendly, and this is another superb option for getting a few different dishes to share, so that everyone can try a bit of each. Kids love my Meatballs In Sugo, which contains slow-cooked meatballs in classic sugo sauce, Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, and garlic Italian flatbread. The Arancini Norma treats you to crispy risotto balls filled with eggplant, tomato, and mozzarella, served with arrabbiata sauce. Then my Panzerotta is always a hit; fried pizza dough folded and filled with mortadella, buffalo mozzarella, and Sardinian pecorino cheese.

Kids Birthday Parties:

If you’re considering venues for a birthday party, my kid friendly restaurant is here to make it one they’ll never forget. We can customise the menu, help with organising fun activities, and also give any adults in attendance a magnificent meal. If you’d like to find out more, just fill out the enquiry form here.
